On January 31, 2026, at the Greater Florence Chamber of Commerce Annual Awards banquet, the Future Forward Foundation (3F) won the 2025 Nonprofit of the Year award. This was a true honor from our own town. After 15 years of bringing many assets to Florence, 3F is humbled and grateful for this recognition 

In the beginning, before we even had our IRS 501 ( c ) 3 status, 3F painted 23 buildings in Florence to beautify the town, predominately on Main Street. With a grant from Florence Copper, we planted 350 willow trees on Willow Street. In addition, we helped Cordes Development secure state approval for the rebuild and remodel of Florence Sunrise Apartments providing quality low-income housing for residents.

We have worked for three years delivering four holiday meals a year to the door of 400 homes in need with Harvest Share. We're proud that 12 Florence companies each year have collect most of the food for these deliveries, creating a tight-knit safety net for our neighbors in need. 

Over 280 students have graduated from our 11 years of educational class contracts with UA.  We secured an NRCS gothic high peak tunnel last year where we will be teaching interested

families how to grow their own food in the Arizona desert.
